Families will stroll through the interactive " Be-Town" where the bank is for people to make deposits in relationships, the candy store is brimming full of inspirational goodies, the Daily Kind "BE-stro" serves "humble" pie, and the local market sells lots of "be" honey!

BE-Hive was founded in 2012 by Robin and Michael Schaeffer as a West Virginia non-profit corporation, and has Federal 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt status. The BE-Hive's mission is to help families with children find creative and fun ways to practice incorporating great life principles into their everyday lives at home, while at the same time offering a new venue for family entertainment in historic downtown Martinsburg.

BE-Hive, A Family Inspiration Place, Inc. helps children with their parents discover, embrace and implement their natural instinct to follow the best principles to improve their lives while inspiring those around them. BE-Hive is a fun-filled inspirational activity center where families find that they can have a great family life by nurturing character-driven relationships and continuing this at home. Home is where the best opportunity exists for children to start on the path to a fulfilling and meaningful adult life of character.

BE-Hive is funded exclusively to serve parents who attend with their children.

BE-Hive is located in the downtown historic district of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Displays in Be-hive's storefront windows celebrate family values and invite children with their parents to the fun that awaits them.

BE-Town
A three-dimensional interactive "town" complete with a Bank where people make deposits in relationships; a Candy Store brimming with sweet inspirations, a Bakery serving cupcakes frosted with character, a BE-stro with "humble pie" And a market that offers lots of BE-Honey!

Book Nook

Filled with cozy furniture and lots of fun books to read and share.

Kid's Corner
A special place filled with toys and even a trunk of dress-up clothes to entertain younger children.

Theater
The place where musical performances, puppet shows, movies, storytelling, magic acts, craft demonstrations, and much more take place. A calendar of these events is published monthly.

Game Room
Game nights are scheduled regularly where age appropriate games and activities for the whole family will keep everyone involved. Everything from Bean Bag and Ring Toss, golf putting, "Go Fish," Checkers and Uno Nights, to the BE-Hive's favorite and most yummy event; Cake Walks!

The BE-Hive is designed to feel like a comfy home. Families can sit around the kitchen table or the dining room table or relax in the living room or the book nook. Even the "kids corner" looks like a family play room. Then there's always the "back yard" with its umbrella table and a child-friendly barbeque grill. Home, after all, is the very best place for children and their parents to learn how to BE.
